Life Coaching has become an overused term; we seem to be everywhere! This is down to two things, one good, one less positive.
At its best, Coaching is being recognised for the beneficial impact it can have on individuals and organisations. In our frenetic, over-stimulated society, the chance to stop, take stock and be supported by someone skilled in asking the right questions, is proving to be a valuable resource for society as a whole, and more and more industries and employers recognise this.
Less positive is that it is perhaps too easy to call yourself a Coach; there is no minimum qualification or depth of experience, and so coaches are springing up everywhere, and quality will inevitably vary.
